Very nice Maria, Hope you get all those albinos through to flowering stage. My experience is thet the albinos died for no reason..what treatment do you give them?
There are 2 kinds of people. Those who work and those that take the
credit. Try to be in the first group, there's less competition.

Thanks Maria for this info.
It seems that one does not get good variegation form a variegated mother plant and that most of the seedling become albino's.
I have noticed this as well. I found that the less variegation in the plant has the higher the percentage will be to get variegated seedlings and you will get less albino's. The berries that had the most green in still had albino's, it looks like that only the outer berries did produce some viable seedlings but a very low percentage that have survived.
I found that if you grow variegated seedlings from the mother plant, you must hardly see the variegation in the mother plant and you must only be able to see a pin strip variegation to get a higher success rate. This has still been a intressting thread. :thanks:
Regards Frits

You are all most welcome!

Here's where I grow them.
No sun...just bright flourescent light.
Sunlight kills the albinos.

Some of them have "departed".
They have not lived in vain and has taught me well.

Some of them are still teaching me.

And finally..."The Survivors"

From the whole umbel of berries from this Fukurin,
only 5 resulting seedlings made it.

There are 2 albino seedlings that have a very slight tinge of green that might still grow a leaf with some green.
If they do, they will make it but will be very slow growers also.

How time flies...

It seems like just yesterday that I started this thread...my very first post here in the forum.
A "Duhhhhh" post.  LOL!

"My Inspiration", the "Not Keeled Variegate" (Ha!) will finally be blooming again.
That's almost 2 1/2 years after it's last bloom.
Here she is in bud with Tedd's Pet.

I miss the modify thingy.
Correction: It's been 3 years since My Inspiration bloomed.
I will take pics of the above seedlings when I find time and give updates.
