Photo taken just now. I want to know the quality level of this plant according to SA's judging standard. Total floret count is only 16. Thanks!

Apart from SA's judging standard, I think these are very beautiful flowers and a nice combination of white and yellow!
Is there a Nakamura background, maybe?
Borzois, cats, tropical plants - what a fun to have them around!

Joyce, according to the breeder, no Nakamura background in this plant. It is bred from another clone. The real flowers look more attractive than in the picture.

Wu Jin , lovely flowers ! I for one ,would enter this plant as a yellow and not as " any other colour " .The umbel is good , but not full enough . The quality and shape of the flowers are nice , but not better than what I have seen at the shows here in SA .

I hope this does not sound to negative , because I still like the flowers very much .

MORE attractive than the picture?  I think those are VERY beautiful in the photo, so they must be exceptional there.

I really like the contrast between the darker yellow center and the near-white edges, which reminds me of some of my favorite yellow and white narcissus.  Great flower shape too. Is this a first bloom of this plant?

Dear Wu Jin,
Every year I am able to only go to the clivia shows in my home town,Pietermaritzburg. We stage two public shows,Pendulous species and our miniata show. Then we have a Interspecific show for the members. So that is three shows a year.

I am absolutely awestruck by the Quality and variety of the blooms on display.

Also the condition of the plants on display, leaf shape, leaf quality and the overall condition of the plants is truly inspiring.
Now ,we must remember that the plants on display are just a small pecentage of those grown by the members of our club.I visit members at thier homes for about 6 weeks during the flowering season.Every year I see more and more new blooms being produced here in Kwa Zulu Natal.I am convinced that we are only starting to realize the infinite potential available to us in the breeding of our revered plant.
I can only speak for the K Z N shows.I am told that the other shows in other towns are "nearly as good" :mmm:   :mmm:
Please come and pay us a visit here in South Africa in the flowering season.

A truly remarkable plant, I would love to see Orange progeny of this plant, I am sure that lighter edges would be carried over very favourably

Geoffrey,
This is a 10 year old plant. It has flowered and set seeds for many years. It sent 2 spikes in 2007.
