Does anyone know the history and breeding behavior of this broad-petaled yellow with a soft touch of green in the throat? I know it's G1, but nothing else. Is it a habitat plant perhaps?

Hi Mark do you have a picture? Did you buy seeds of this plant?

I've bought a seedling. It's from your Maurits selfing a few years back. I'm very pleased about it because I've long admired the photos I've seen. The green throat is so understated, almost an afterthought.

Hi Mark. If you look on our web site www.cliviamart.co.za. on our 2014 seed list, these seeds (Maurits X Self) were offered by Pine Pienaar.

That's indeed the source of my seedling. Still curious about where it came from, if anybody might know. Even though it's still a seedling, just starting to get "grown-up" leaves, it's definitely my most robust yellow. I have hopes it will mature fairly quickly. I've never achieved the "seed to flower" in three years that one hears of from time to time.

Hey Mark!
You succeeded in teasing us, and the parent from the Cliviamart catalogue looks lovely. How about a photo of yours to compare them?

Best Regards
Nick

Nick,
When it has its first blooming, I promise I will post photos.
