Amy's Happy Face
« on: February 24, 2017, 00:39:48 »
We have had some unbelievable warm weather lately and it has caused a few of my plants to start blooming. This is Solomone's Amy's Happy Face, I bought this in 2015 as an adult plant and it's the first flower for me. We will be going back to seasonal temps, a drop of over 40 degrees by Saturday.

Is this a peach interspec? She should be more beautiful when fully open.
Thanks for sharing.

Amy's Happy Face is not an interspecific. I think because it is blooming a couple of months to soon is why it is not open all the way. If you google her name you can find a picture in the North American Clivia Society web page.

Julie,

Your Amy's Happy Face has a gorgeous color.  I imagine it will be spectacular when it blooms more seasonally.

The weather here in Utah was very warm for a couple weeks too, then it plunged back into full winter.  I have a few plants spiking.  I hope they are not confused by the weather.

Mike, we are the same with our weather. For several days we are smashing records for highs and a front goes through and we are back to normal or below for a few days. I just hope the fruit trees don't get confused. ???

Here is Amy's Happy Face at her peak. I think she did great, she's a keeper.
