In my experience, the wrinkles are normally a sign of a broaf leaf and is caused by the base not wide enough to accomodate the widthe of the new leaves coming through. Sometimes it improves as the plant gets older.
As far as i know the Chinese like this and many Chinese plants has this 'problem'

I think these are stunning! I also hope they keep on growing just the
way they do not i.e. "twisted"!

A while back I was asked if this trait is transferred to seedlings, at that time I was not sure as a batch of seedlings I had planted got destroyed by Lily borers, I managed to save one seedling, but for a year and a half it looked normal, then a year ago it stater twisting, and it does seem that it is an inhertitable trait. If used as the seed parent anyway.

The photo below is a crossing of Gideon's Twisted Sister and a Bertie's Bronze, it is now about 2 and a half years old

BTW. the plant will be with Gideon tomorrow, maybe he will take a pic of the mother and baby together.

That is very nice, great bit of info, it is nice to know that. Are you sending this one to be sold too? I don't recall seeing it on your list?

For sale?  What list?  Have I missed something?  I would try to hide the desperation in this communication but what would be the point amongst all my fellow clivia addicts?

Hi Leisl, this was a small list of plants and seedlings which my sister is selling, and I had promised first choice to a few 'old customers', I will post the rest when I know what is left
