Francois interesting article, all very valid I would put Flowers of Sulpher on any sucker I take off and keep it dry,I dont know about the root being planted tyat will give a plant,there are safer ways to produce suckers than this method, as making cuts and sticking stuff in can lead to problems if a bacteria gets in

Francois the way I made suckers is by using Osmocote, above the recommended dose, I find this works well another way is to put a stone under the plant when planting ,it will get the plant to produce suckers
As stated I dont like cutting or stabbing the plant as it opens the door to infections
