Well done Mark.
Can you tell us more about your mix and method? It looks like a lot of Perlite in the mix. What other components are there?

Also, how often did you water them and did you put them in any sunlight?

I have some seed arriving soon and want to give it the best chance I can.

thanks,
Lisa

Well done Mark,

some nice healthy seedlings........I love the way they stretch so far to make the roots and then the leaves. So referent from the other species!

Thanks for posting it to use!

Hester

I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous - oh who am I kidding? I admit it I'm jealous. It's the one species that I haven't found any seeds for yet.
I've read that they're pretty difficult but you seem to be doing a great job with the Mirabilis :good:
I'm looking forward to following the continuing journey.
Godt klaret Mark! Er de alle 12 i live?

A very through article, I look forward to reading your updates.

Your description of the climate in the Oorlogskloof area sounds a little like South Australia!  Temps up to and over 40C (sometimes for a week or more at a time) on a regular basis during Summer and today on Easter Monday, very cold wet and rainy, although we dont get the freezing part very often it can get quite cold here.
