Lionel, let us assume the seedlings are unpigmented. What does that tell you or what do you thing the possibilities are?

Hello Chris ,
I first want to see if the leaves are short and broad .
Flower colour could be Pink , White or Cream or a combo of these .
The WDC flowers were a very pale cream ,close to White .
Mr, Wang DianChun hit the Jackpot with his WDC Yellows so maybe my stars will line up and the flowers will be the colour of tonights  FULL  MOON .
I did not expect Unpigmented seedlings so if the leaves are to my wishes , I will be more than happy .
I also put WDC pollens onto other Appleblossoms .
Regards,
              Lionel.

Morning!

7 clones were collected by Mr John Winter, Q8 was a seed collected at the AB sight, that ended up being named Peach Glow.

Regards,
Francois

Thanks Nick and Francois. This is how we learn. This means that Q8 is already a cross or a selfed as it was collected as seed and not a plant.
Thank you Lionel also for sharing your thinking with your AB mini x WDC crossing. I see from previous posts that your AB mini does give unpigmented seedlings too.

Bump.

Lionel, do you expect flowers from the WDC crosses this year?

My Q2 selfs are soooo slooooooow. I had good germination (5 out of 6) but after nearly 9 months the other Miniata' I germinated at the same time are pushing 3rd and 4th leaves. The AB' have single leaves ranging from 1 - 5cm in length.
The struggle is real.

Hello Neil ,
Not from the AB`s crosses Neil .
The A B `s are slow growing so it is good to give additional Light and Warmth .
Do not pick seeds too early .....  we reap them last because they seem to take longer to ripen .
Watch them and discard any seeds that show signs of rot as soon as  noticed , otherwise they contaminate the other seeds .
Regards,
             Lionel.

Last question. Can I move them into a better medium? I'm not happy with what they're currently in.
