hi, just wanted to share the picture of my broadest and narrowest leaf clivia seedlings....with a normal sized clivia seedlings in the middle.

Hi Jennifer,
 They are only about 8 months old...very slow grower and can't wait til they mature to see what they are going to be like.

Really interesting photos you have there. How early can you really determine if a plant will have broad leaves or narrow? I had seedlings with broad leaves a few months old and then next year all leaves come out narrower and narrow leaved plants that stunned me the second year with double the leaf with. Any input from experienced growers would be help full.

Hi Dawid

The width of a Clivia plant is 90% genetically determined and 10% by growing conditions..
If you know how wide the parent plant's leaves are - that's what the seedlings will look like.

Broad leaves have different categories ranging from around 7cm to ultra broad which is more than 12 cm .

I'm beginning a collection of broad leaves Clivias because they fascinate me too.
