thanks eddie, though i don't know so much about 'the master' - rather i just experiment, do my own thing.... have done some stupid things at times.... fortunately i have some friends who put me on the right path.... with me it is mainly trial and error and a little prayer to Mother Nature!!!! Take care....

Nice pick up Michael. I love using recycled materials. It takes the new look away and you can sometimes think its been there forever. Excellent work!

Cheers Gary.
Maria, these are terracotta roof ridge cap tiles and the scroll end finials are at the end bits. They are from federation houses.
I enjoy trailing demo yard for architectural salvage almost as much as being here. Glad the little ones are moving a bit at least... patience ....

Bill - it's going to take time and discipline to meet your request - best to have these things photographed in habitat because anything in cultivation becomes suspect.
Most species ripen in 6-12 months
As I have it Mirabilis ripen the quickest - within 3 months I think I heard
'Maxima' [species status not determined as yet] are the slowest - 18-24 months.
All fresh seed should readily germinate but keeping them going is the problem.

Hey Hugh,
it isn't a labour issue, it is an aesthetic concern. I want at least one plant to be more than green leaves. ( Especially since there seems to be an onslaught of pics to come soon).
I like the look of the fruit just as much as some flowers. There is no profit in these seeds, nice orange min plant open pollinated.

Here is a picture of the pods that i have harvested. I sat in the lounge and peeled and cleaned most of them today. Took a little longer than I thought. Most of them are caulescens x miniatas.

I'm getting behind with my seed harvesting!

Here are some pictures taken today. Mind you, looking at the colour of some of the seeds, mother nature is taking her time too. Still plenty of work to be done here and already I've a few plants spiking as well.

Busy but exciting times.
