Keeled Clivia flowering out of season
« on: May 18, 2011, 00:28:04 »
Hi Group.

Below is a keeled clivia of mine flowering out of season - end of Autumn/start of Winter!

Every flower has 3 petals keeled equally. Very balanced keel expression. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Mark

Nice plant - does anyone on the group know if this trait is carried on to the seedlings from these keeled plants?

All the best
Pieter

Very pretty Mark!

Pieter...I think the keeling is passed on but results varies.
Longwood Gardens have been working with keeled petaled clivias for years now.
Check em out.

Hi Pieter

I would also love to know how keeling is inherited?
Perhaps we can coax some more comments on keeling inheritance from other memebers?
I have a number of keeled crosses growing out.

Maria, thanks for the link. Always intresting to see what others are breeding.

Few more of my keeled plants below
